Street Seen
We are developing an experiential theatrical installation piece titled Street Seen, which creates an immersive, interactive environment that invites audiences to view life from the perspective of people who live on the streets.
The design is inspired by homeless encampments that the city intends to eradicate, but does not aim to replicate them. No temporary experience can convey what life is really like when you’re homeless. But we can stage moments of experience that give people some insight into what the world looks like from the perspective of the unhoused, including the vigilance and fear that attend the risk of violence and danger that is a regular feature of life on the streets.
Everyone involved in the production, design and installation of this piece will have lived experience of homelessness.
More is happening every day. Stay tuned for updates!
